Pediatrics

Pediatric orthopaedics is the diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic conditions in infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Our resident expert, Dr. Mark Locke, specializes in the treatment of fractures and orthopaedic-related diseases in children. He is experienced and one of the leading specialists in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of scoliosis, a condition when the spine presents with abnormal curvature. He has pioneered several approaches to pediatric spinal fusion surgery and leg fracture surgery using plates to rebuild damage. Dr. Locke is currently collaborating with an orthopaedic products company to develop a new device and technique to treat infant hip dislocations. Dr. Locke emphasizes family-centered care and knows the importance of quickly returning children to their normal lives. Dr. Locke is committed to providing state-of-the-art care while also carefully considering the special needs of children, adolescents and their families.
