The average athletic trainer, coach, and athletic director spend a combined total of over 150 hours per week providing or supervising the medical care, education, training, leadership and guidance that helps to mold and make our student-athletes into responsible, successful young adults.  These professionals often spend even more time with these student-athletes than their family or friends.  In professions of hectic schedules and sometimes less than desirable funding, the sacrifice that these crucial members of our student-athletes' developmental team make is often forgotten or taken for granted.

As a token of our appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the sports community, The Moore Orthopaedic Clinic hosts a golf Invitational to honor these men and women for the service that they provide to, not only our community's children, but our own children as well.  The Sports Medicine Invitational is our way of saying "Thank You!" for all that they do.

Our responsibility as healthcare providers is to promote the awareness of sports medicine, primarily its role in the prevention and treatment of all athletic injuries, in our local community and beyond.  In order for us to make this golf Invitational a successful venture, we are dependent on community support.  100% of all sponsorships are used to provide the athletic trainers, coaches and athletic directors a free day of golf and fellowship.  In addition, these sponsorships help to replenish old or used training room supplies and equipment in order to afford school staff the opportunity to provide even better care for their student-athletes.
